Joann Cooper,
Founder of Interactive Network Connection (now known as
Cooper Connection), was born and reared by a single mom in
Billings, Montana. Always recognized as one with an
enterprising spirit, Joann moved to Houston, Texas at the
ripe age of 18, on her way to becoming a full-fledged
"Texan" and making her mark in the business world. After
landing her first job in the retail business, Joann rode a
bike back and forth to work for over a year until she earned
enough money to buy her first automobile.
After acquiring some
excellent on-the-job-training while attending the "school of
hard knocks", Joann rapidly moved up the ranks while working
for several companies. After landing her first office
position as a secretary, she became an executive secretary
for a well-known attorney in 1992. As a result of her
outgoing personality and innate ability to market herself
and others, Joann's many mentors along the way encouraged
her to pursue the sales profession. Acting upon their
advice, Joann plunged into the world of sales and marketing,
immediately realizing her true passion was in encouraging
and "coaching" other people.
Fulfilled with the
passion to help others and become successful, Joann founded
Interactive Network Connection (now known as Cooper
Connection), a referral based networking organization, on
July 6, 1999. Using Cooper Connection as her vehicle, Joann
actively trains business professionals by providing
strategies for developing their respective businesses by
exchanging qualified business referrals. This ongoing
exchange of new and existing "prospects" has generated in
excess of several million dollars in referral-based revenues
since the inception of her business. After growing into
several local "organizations", Joann's dream is to expand
future groups all over the state of Texas.
To continue her
entrepreneurial creativity, Joann created
“Callie’s Kookies, a
gourmet dog & kitty treat business that provides 100% all
natural treats for pets. Joann bakes the
Kookies which are
taste tested by her inspirations, Callie, Phoebe & Bo.
Recently Joann added
“Bling Etcetera” to her
repertoire
which is an apparel/gift company that provides Swarovski
crystals and high end rhinestones enhancements to ladies
shirts, children’s shirts and hats. They’ve become a big
hit with women needing to add a little
“Bling” to their
wardrobe. Joann hosts an online cooking show and restaurant
review called G3Live
which is pure entertainment providing great home cooking
recipes. Lastly, she is an electricity provider with
Ignite/Stream Energy.
Joann resides in
West Houston with her prized “furry children: Callie, Phoebe
and her husband, Tony, Sales/Marketing Manager for The Hurt
Company, a petroleum distribution company.
